Urban neighbourhoods are the building blocks of the city, but they are complex to define and incorporate; how do we know where one neighbourhood starts and another begins?
HyperLocal introduces a personal neighbourhood - a subset of the city related to an individual - comprised of the individual’s experienced city; home, work, friends, greengrocer, etc. In other words, a user generated city.

Hyperlocal collects and employs users’ location data to visualise and gain insight on their loci and interaction with the city. Using a participatory approach to the data collection: the user is engaging in a beneficial activity. The tool is comprised of two view modes: a user view and a research view.
